Hi! I'm Nathan Mun, and I'm a first-year Chemical Engineering Student at UCLA. Originally, I'm from Carlsbad, San Diego. I used to wrestle, but now I love playing pickleball, spikeball, and playing the guitar. I myself applied to 25 Schools during my college application season, so I know what it's like to bury your head in your computer for hours and hours a day, and I want to help in that process.

How I Can Help

2 topics

I can help you strengthen your essays by improving clarity, organization, and argument. My experience with the UC  application has taught me how to write clearly and meet high academic standards. Students who work with me will get honest, matter-of-fact advice to make their writing more confident, polished, and persuasive.

I can help you stay organized, manage your time, and build the study habits you need to succeed in high school and prepare for college. My experience as a Chemical Engineer, while getting research experience and balancing sports, has taught me how to handle challenging coursework and stay motivated under pressure. Students who work with me will get accountability and clear expectations to help them feel confident and ready for what’s ahead.

  • Nathan was very good at critiquing my piqs. I liked how instead of just reading them and giving me brief commentary on it he elaborated and gave me ways to improve my writing style. He didn't belittle me he uplifted me by giving me words of encouragement as I was writing which honestly lightened my mood about college apps and my writing as a whole. So yea thank you again Nathan.

  • Great reviewer of PIQs, he didn't sugarcoat anything and told me what needed to change. Very nice, and overall, the edits he left were very high quality. He seemed genuinely eager to help, which was nice. Chatting with him made writing my final draft much easier, and overall, without this, I don't think my PIQs would be anywhere near as good.
