Hey! I'm Yashwant, a freshman at UC Berkeley studying Engineering. I'm from Arlington Heights, Illinois, where I spent high school launching a stratospheric balloon for Northrop Grumman, leading our DECA chapter, and running a student coffee shop, among many other things.
Outside academics, I'm a pretty social person, so I love to hang out and call my friends and listen to their stories. I'm also a huge volleyball fan, I watch and play volleyball very often. I spent all 4 years of highschool playing volleyball as well, with my position being Libero. Additionally, I'm a huge Golden State Warriors Fan!
My college application process was chaotic. I applied to around 30 schools. As the older brother in the family, this was the first time navigating college admissions for me and my family. So I spent a lot of time working on my essays, researching schools, and various programs. Subsequently, I am very fortunate to be in the position I am in and want to help others get into their dream college!

How I Can Help
4 topicsI can help you find your authentic voice and turn overwhelming essay prompts into stories that actually sound like you! Having just navigated the UC and Common App process, I know how to balance what admissions officers want to hear with what you genuinely want to say. My goal is to make sure your essays are as emotionally resonant as possible while also being a great read with no grammatical issues.
As someone who dabbled in many things in high school, from engineering to business to jazz, I have a wide breadth of knowledge in terms of different extracurriculars and a unique perspective on how seemingly unrelated extracurriculars can all tie together in your college application. Let me know your interests and we can find clubs meant for you as well as how to succeed in them!
As a college applicant maniac during my respective cycle, I had researched over 50 schools and applied to around 30. Numbers alone indicate that I have relatively solid knowledge of many of the top universities in the United States, but I will sit down and help you build a comprehensive list - from targets to safeties, whatever your list desires!
I help high school students craft compelling college applications, from building standout extracurricular profiles to writing authentic essays that showcase who you really are. Drawing from my experience getting into UC Berkeley for EECS and my leadership in scaling organizations like DECA, I offer practical advice on making your application competitive, choosing the right schools, and positioning yourself for success in the admissions process.
