My name is Carter, and I am in my second year of studying Psychology at the University of Southern California. My hometown is Longmont, Colorado, and some of my hobbies are drumming, mountain biking, DJing, and solving Rubik's cubes. My college application process was a valuable learning experience, and I spent a lot of time revising my essays. Getting feedback from my teachers at school helped me improve as a writer, and I have definitely been able to use the skills I gained during the application process in my writing assignments at USC!

I was named a National Merit Scholarship recipient in my senior year of high school. To earn this award, I had to score well on the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and submit an additional application (which contained a personal essay similar to the Common App personal statement).
